Carousel Summer Meet 2003 Pictures

The Skateland Figure Skating Club participated in a contest all day Saturday, August 23 where skaters from all over New England competed at The Carousel Skating Center in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

We had 4 entries. Two club members, Deanna Beumert of Merrimac and Michaela Shipley of Haverhill skated their first meet.

Nancy Gauthier of North Andover celebrated her first anniversary of skating meets
by coming home with medals in every event she skated--6 Medals!

Everyone was hot and tired. It was a hot day, the air conditioning wasn't working very well, and the meet was sometimes running close to 2 hours behind schedule. A nice lady was fanning Nancy.

Congratulations to our three beginner solo dance entries who skated two dances, the Glide Waltz and the Progress Tango, and each did an excellent job and looked fantastic. See pictures below of
