Skateland Skaters compete at Beverly, Massachusetts

On February 19th and 20th, 2005, 19 members of the Skateland Figure Skating Club participated in the two-day contest.

Terry Brunelle and Soso Whaley celebrated their first anniversary of skating contests, and we had two members skating their first contests: Terri Goodridge and Georgia Renfroe O'Neil.
Anne Marie Murray skated for the first time in 20 years.
Amanda Bati celebrated her first anniversary of judging meets.

The meet was very well attended by skaters from all over New England. It was a big meet and most of us were bone weary by the end of it. Cheyenne was sick on the way to the meet and went home. Allyson fell during one event and had to scratch. Georgia, Anne Marie and Nancy each scratched from one event from exhaustion. Everyone exhibited great sportmanship and there was a strong sense of team spirit throughout the day, especially towards the end.

Fred Bergeron and Mike Adams got a gold in figures; Mike Adams got a gold and bronze in dance; Denise Geuvelis got a silver in dance; Amy Claus got 2 silvers in dance.
