Note: Our picture page is getting long with about 40 pictures, so wait for the download, then scroll down--still under construction. Also we are trying to translate the guest book that we had at the door. Please let me know if I have misspelled names or if there is a missing name.
Bill Fellows WOWED them at the organ! WORLD TEAM EXHIBITED! Lots of Costumes were for sale.
Many skaters from the Haverhill area who had not been in the building for eons came and some skated for the first time in many years. Everyone loved the floor and Marc provided pieces of the wood as souveniers.
- Senior World Class Team Members: KEVIN KNEELAND & TAMMY GUMMOW in Dance skated two compulsory dances and their free dance, and JOSHUA RHODES in Men's Singles Skating skated his short program routine. Many audience members had not seen skating like this before and were amazed! Skating has changed a lot. A tape of this past nationals was running on the large screen video most of the night.
- Goodtimes' costume-maker extraordinaire, Laura Benson, brought a huge number of beautiful competition dresses that were very reasonably priced. If you are interested, contact her at Good Times in NH. See Laura at the Thanksgiving Meet this year.
- There was a picture wall full of pictures; a table full of odds and ends, pictures, programs, patches, etc.; a showcase with old skates and some valuable old magazines and newspapers from 1939 and up.
- Kathy brought a huge box of old GAZETTES for people to take. We still have these Gazettes, ask for them when you come on Tuesday nights.
Come see your old friends and enjoy an evening of skating to organ music any Tuesday, 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. $5.00
