SKATELAND
Roller Skaters' Reunion 2003

About 150 skaters attended and enjoyed the evening on Tuesday, September 24, 2003. Many momentos were on display, and several people brought many albums and even costumes from those "old days". We had at least three people skate who had not skated in 30 years.

The three exhibitions were

• Amy Claus, Amanda Bati, and Denise Giuvelis, skated the "Razzle Dazzle" number to the music from Cabaret.
  
• Amanda Bati skated an original creative solo dance to the music of Roulon Rouge.
  
• Amy Claus, Gold Medalist in JO Solo Dance at this year's national competition in Lincoln, Nebraska, skated one of the dances in the final round: Chase Waltz.

This photographer (me), who was also on the microphone, neglected to get pictures of these exhibitors, sorry to say.

Many old friends were reunited. The previous owners, Tillio and Mary Carbone, came and enjoyed seeing old friends and many news clippings on the walls. Many members of the club brought home baked items for the bake sale. The winner of the raffle was Ronnie Bertheim.
