About 150 skaters attended and had great fun during the evening on Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Many momentos were on display, and several people brought many pictures and albums. Harold Harriman made 2 DVDs, one of the old Haverhill rink in the 50s and another about Bal-A-Roue. We showed part of the Haverhill DVD on our big screens, but since it was 26 minutes long, we offered the portable DVD player to anyone who wanted to see it again. Please ask anytime to see this DVD. We had at least four people from the old days of Haverhill's club who had not attended reunions in the past come and skate: Bobby Marino, Anne Marie (Powers), Joanne and Charlene (sisters). Many old friends were reunited. The previous owners, Tillio and Mary Carbone, came and enjoyed seeing old friends. Many members of the club brought home-baked items for the bake sale. We had a 50/50 raffle.
Our national team members present were Michael Adams, Amanda Bati, Fred Bergeron, Amy Claus, Chris Gori, and Soso Whaley. Denise Geuvelis was unable to attend. The two dance teams did exhibitions
- Amanda Bati and Michael Adams, second place in Freshman/Sophomore B Dance, and
- Amy Claus and Chris Gori, fourth place in Sophomore Dance
If you were a past skater at Skateland, Click on the Skateland Website "guestbook" and send us a message for our collection of comments under the "past art skaters" section.
We are also looking for people who used to skate, so if you did, or you know anyone, send us their name and address so we can let them know about the next reunion, always the third Tuesday in September.
